Welcome to ABYC!

The American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC), a leader in technical safety standards, education and professional certification, has partnered with Port Supply to offer educational opportunities for professionals in the marine industry. This program will make ABYC programs available to Port Supply customers at a favorable cost.

Port Supply Customers can take advantage of ABYC education in the following two ways:

    Through A Port Supply Sponsored Classes
    Port Supply may schedule an ABYC class of their choice at a location/time of their choosing. These classes are at the sole discretion of Port Supply. If you are interested in these classes please contact your regional Port Supply sales team.

    Attending a Regularly Scheduled ABYC “Off-Site” Classes
    These are the classes that ABYC schedules on a yearly basis. They consist of ABYC Certifications, introductory classes and other marine related seminars. These do not include ABYC Boat Owner classes. More information can be found at the ABYC Calendar of Events.

Port Supply Customer Benefits:

  • Discounted Courses - If the Port Supply customer is already a current ABYC member, they will receive $150 off the listed member price of the class.

    -- OR --

  • Free ABYC Membership - If the Port Supply customer is not an ABYC member:
    • They must register for a class, and at that time they will receive a free 1-year ABYC Business level membership ($175 value).
    • After the initial class registration, they will be entitled to the Port Supply discount of $150 off all future classes they sign up for. For a full listing of ABYC membership benefits, visit the ABYC web site.

To Register For an ABYC Off-Site Class:

  1. More information can be found at the online Calendar of Events.
  2. To register, call ABYC at 410-990-4460 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. EST and ask for Alice Gillis or Sandy Brown.
  3. Make sure you have your Port Supply Account Number with you.
  4. Make sure you have a valid MC, Visa or American Express credit card.
  5. Once you are registered in the class, ABYC will then mail you the confirmation and/or class materials.
  6. There are monetary penalties for withdrawing from a class after registration. Be sure to note these on the class details page.
