Jim Black & Associates, Inc. Step Up Support
for ABYC and Boating Safety
August 5, 2003, Edgewater, MD: The American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC) today announced that Jim Black & Associates, Inc. recently renewed their long-standing commitment to boating safety by increasing their annual membership support level to the standards setting organization.
Jim Black & Associates, Inc., an ABYC member since 1995, increased their membership to from a Participating Membership to a Gold Level Membership. Jim Black & Associates is a growing company devoted to supplying marine manufacturers with high quality marine doors, hatches, port lights, tackle centers and deck plates that withstand the elements and give dependable service to the end user.
Patricia W. Serrill, Executive Vice President and Business Manager of Jim Black & Associates, Inc., said, "We continue our support of the fine work being done by ABYC." Serrill continued, "The training offered is extremely valuable in assuring that all boatbuilders are working at the same high level for safe boating." "As the industry does its part, we protect the industry and the public," Serrill further stated. ABYC is actively involved with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) as well as certification programs for marine technicians.
