Westlawn Institute of Marine Technology Names
Norman Nudelman as Provost


Norman Nudelman
June 23, 2004, Edgewater, MD: Former Westlawn Institute of Marine Technology President, Norman Nudelman has recently come back aboard as Provost. As President of Westlawn from 1992 to 1997, Norm guided the school for many years. He is highly regarded by the students and fellow faculty. During his tenure as president, Norm wrote many of the texts that are the foundation of the Westlawn course Modules.

"We are delighted to have Norm back on our team. He helped educate a large number of Westlawn's many successful graduates," stated Dave Gerr, Director of Westlawn, "We are looking forward to using his expertise and understanding of the school to provide a sound foundation for our ongoing upgrade program."

Norm's duties as Provost include: working with Westlawn's accrediting institutions to ensure accurate and up-to-date accreditation and state approval, as well as working closely with Westlawn Director, Dave Gerr, on curriculum upgrades, and also reviewing and grading student papers.

Founded in 1930, the Westlawn Institute of Marine Technology is the only nationally accredited and state certified distance-learning school of small-craft design in the United States.
