Exporting to Europe

CE Requirements & ISO Standards

This course will introduce participants to the European requirements for recreational craft, including the necessary documentation to successfully market in the European Community. We will provide a road map/hands-on approach to compliance including: documentation retention, forms, specific contact information in the EC, owner's manual requirements, etc.

The first day will be an introduction to the concepts that drive the European Certification: recreational craft directive, RSG, categories, language, etc. This will be followed by two days of detailed review of the ISO standards used in support of the RCD.

The program is intended for people familiar with regulations and standards compliance issues. No prior knowledge of ISO standards is necessary.

The program is for boat builders, naval architects, surveyors and anyone intending to market their boats or services in the EC.

The cost of this course is $595 for ABYC members; $755 for non-members. Please check the calendar for dates and locations.
